Served by the North Docks

A new video series exploring the evolving dining, leisure, and café scene in the North Docks. Coopers Cross is surrounded by some of Dublin’s newest and best loved global culinary experiences. SERVED captures their stories and why they love the North Docks.

We kicked things off by chatting to Russell Hadley, hotel manager of stunning The Mayson Dublin by the North Wall Quay. Russell believes the North Docks is where old and new communities can work, live, and most importantly, thrive together.

“It’s a really exciting area of Dublin with such a rich heritage. Culturally and historically, there’s so much here. Although we’ve only been here three years, we very much want to be part of that local and family community”.

We also took some time to chat to Catherine Lazăr, manager of Urban Brewing. Urban Brewing is the perfect example of a ‘hidden gem’ inside the North Docks. Along with their cosy cellar area and tapas restaurant, they also host fascinating brewery tours, that detail how they craft their extensive selection of flavoursome beers.

She says, “The North Docks area is such an up-and-coming place. It’s becoming this nice combination of the old school Dublin, mixed with the new. It’s great to see.” You’ll just have to see it for yourself to believe it.

We also spoke with James, general manager of Ryleigh’s Rooftop Grill. He said, “Even though I’ve visited some of the biggest cities in Europe, the diversity in Dublin is incomparable. The culture, the Irish people, everything is absolutely amazing.” A go-to spot in Dublin, The Rooftop Grill at Ryleigh’s delivers impressive picturesque waterfront and city views.
